The Greenhorn Valley is located at the South end of Pueblo County, CO and sits at the base of the Greenhorn Mountain. Two small communities in the valley are known as Rye and Colorado City, each have their own unique qualities and attractions. Rye was settled in the early 1860’s and boarders the San Isabel National Forest, residents today enjoy the fishing, kayaking, camping, hiking, hunting, Bishop’s Castle, and many more outdoor activities the San Isabel National Forest has to offer. In the early 1900’s Colorado City was developed, to include Lake Beckwith Reservoir.
